Cherry Blossom Episode 5: Tokyo Day 5 (Nihombashi, Ueno Onshi Park, Ameyoko)

The last day of our stay in Japan. As our flight was at 23:45 so we still able to visit places during daytime. We checked out from our hotel but kept our luggage with them. It's free of charge.

First stop, we went to Nihombashi.








Next stop, Ueno Onshi Park. Cherry blossom in Tokyo was ended when we got there.   








Friendly police was letting kid to sit on his bike.

Cherry Blossom Episode 5: Tokyo Day 4 (Roppongi, Shinjuku, Tokyo Skytree)

After breakfast at Tsukiji Market, we proceeded to Roppongi using Subway Oedo Line. One art piece displayed at Roppongi.




Get closer, it is made of newspaper and masking tape. What a masterprice!




The park. Japanese families will come here for picnic. Kids enjoy it a lot.




We didn't stay long at Roppongi. Made our move to Shinjuku for window shopping. Walked on the street at Shinjuku, found this building design is unique. Sorry, it's not post office. Googled online, it's called Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, home to three educational institutions.




Department stores are centralized surrounding subway station. 








Proceeded to Tokyo Skytree. Take subway Asakusa Line to Oshiage Station. More shopping... and more enjoyable









Ended our day to have dinner at 中華食堂日高屋, Asakusa.

Cherry Blossom Episode 5: Tokyo Day 4 (大江户 at Tsukiji Market)

The next day we went back to Tsukiji Market for breakfast. We had been spending discreet in order to have some decent meals in Japan. Sushi and sashimi were in our food list. Based on reviews online, some particular shops are highly recommended by tourists. It's not difficult to identify because of the long queue. The compound of each shop is very restricted, can cater only 10+ customers. Therefore the table turnover is slow. The walkway between shops also narrow, but they organized it well by separating the queue into two.

大江户 is the one we chose to try because the queue were the shortest. The old lady is the one who sorting the queue in order and makes sure it is not obstructing the walkway.




The menus are displayed outside the shop and price is stated too. You can view which one you would like to have and join in the queue.

寿司大 is very popular among tourists. And of course, the queue was longer.
