Have you tried LIANG Sandwich Bar yet? It has newly opened this end of April at The Spring Shopping Mall in Kuching. I had no clue about it until my sister-in-law asked for it. I used to be a fan of Jay Chou donkey years ago, his first two albums were my favourite. Now I seldom get up-to-date about his new albums nor news.

Back to the topic, its so-called sandwich is made of what we have best known as "Roti Canai" and combined the recipe with Taiwan's scallion pancake. Interestingly, they make it a sandwich with different types of ingredients such as satay chicken, sambal ikan bilis, black pepper chicken, mushroom & egg, cheese & egg, etc.




They have two best sellers: Satay Chicken Sandwich and LIANG Chicken Sandwich.




I had LIANG Chicken Sandwich, RM10.90.




The pancake is crispy, tastes good which is out of my surprise. I didn't hold any expectation beforehand.




The portion of its ingredients is acceptable for the price you paid (RM10.90). Contained egg, smoked chicken breast meat, lettuce, and hoisin sauce.




Despite its good taste, I still deem it's slightly overpriced. I have the hesitation to order its add-on, a slice of cheese RM3, an egg RM3, a chicken patty RM6.

Have anyone of you noticed there's always a food truck parked in front of Mita Cake House on Jalan Tun Jugah? Last year October I went there to try it out with my friend. Out of curiosity, just wanted to find out what's their menu.

There were customers waiting for their take away. Instead of 'tabao'ing it home, we decided to have it on the spot.






Their menu: Old School Carbonara, Beefed Out Burger, Mama Mia Sandwich, Sexay Chic Thigh Burger. Now they have newly added menu: chicken wing, which looks so enticing.




We ordered Mama Mia Sandwich and Old School Carbonara. But when we opened the box, found out they got us the wrong order. Instead of Old School Carbonara, they gave us a burger. The guy apologised for the mistake. Very sincere and super friendly customer service. He let us have the wrong order and brought us the correct one. I have very good first impression on them.


This is Mama Mia Sandwich. I like this the most because the outer is crispy, and it is easy to bite. This wonderful combination contained the melted cheddar cheese, roasted chicken, tomatoes, ham, mayonaise and mustard sauce. Highly recommended.




The Beefed Out Burger. The patty is juicy, but personally still prefer Project Burger's beef patty.




This is the Old School Carbonara. Though Mr. Phua has explained that their carbonara is not the creamy version, it is french style (if my memory serves me right). Well, somehow...  I was rather disappointed with the taste. It was watery and plain.




They accept appointment for events. If you are planning to hold party or events,  you may consider to get their catering service. They will drive to the appointed location, serve your guests with freshly made burgers.

Burger Babi Bakar @Stutong Baru, Kuching

The week after we had the fried wanton, we went to visit Stutong Baru again for the famous pork burger. Along the road, you will notice a wooden board stated Burger Babi Bakar. Just drive in the junction where the board directed. Look on your right hand side. If you notice there are cars parked in front of a yellow coloured house, then that's the right place.




The Menu:




This is my bro's order, pork patty + ham + egg + cheese + cabbage.




This is my order. I went to the most expensive one, which has included all the ingredients: pork patty, ham, bacon, egg, cabbage, and cheese. The bacon is crispy, I like their patty. But the burger is too huge, I couldn't have every layer in a bite. So I had to have it individually.

You might have heard a lot of Gim Burger's advertisement on radio. My friend and I had been wanting to try it too for quite sometime. After sometime of its establishment, finally we got the chance to try its burger.




Aussie Rules Burger. Honestly...... the burger is handful! Very thick and high. It is no way you can bite the burger without separate the contents. The pastry was averagely good. Contents include beetroot, pineapple, tomato, egg, cheddar and lettuce.




Gim's Classic Burger contains beef, tomato, onion, pickled cucumber and cheddar.

Takeaways Simpang Tiga Burger Stall, Kuching

Location: Jalan Uplands, Kuching. The building block adjacent to KWSP Kuching.


This burger stall is not unfamiliar to the students at Swinburne in Kuching. I heard about it quite sometime and patronised a few times. Normally there are many patrons waiting for their takeaway order to be ready. What's so special about their burger? I guess their menu is more unique. They add a special ingredient - pineapple slice, which the aroma blends it well with beef.

The burger doesn't look appealing right? It tastes quite good though.

Friend wanted to try Project Burger, which has been highly recommended and received high reviews among Kuchingnites. Though I am not a burger lover, I would like to try out something new too. Project Burger is located in the housing area, the owner operates at his own house compound. It didn't take me long time to search its location. As long as you know Giant Hypermarket's location, it is just located opposite of Giant.

We decided to try two different burgers. The Crunch and Beef Burger. I ordered add-on poached egg for beef burger. Friend wanted to try Nutella ice cream too.






Beef Burger (RM8 + RM2). Poached egg is perfectly done.

Over all, the burgers are nice. We both prefer beef burger with poached egg as the bun is softer. Beef patty is using Australia or NZ beef. We do not know which beef he used, but it is tenderly tasty.
