[By Invitation] Nando's Launched New Flavour: Mango & Lime

I was invited by Nando's to their event of launching new flavour "Mango & Lime" at The Spring shopping mall last Thursday. There were medias and bloggers invited by them too. Met new friends, fed well by Nando's and went home with a bag of goodies. Aduhai... Kamsahamnida.

PERi-Ometer

The Lemon & Herb dressing, the lightest spiciness among all the PERi sauces.

Which sauce is your favourite? I like Wild Herb.

Mango & Lime PERi-PERi Chicken

The side dishes served: Mediterranean rice, mashed potato (chips, chargrilled veg and Mediterranean salad not in picture).

The unordinary brownies, PERi-PERi Brownies. Have you ever tried a rich chocolate brownies that tastes a little bit spicy? Seems awkward, but not bad at all.

Caramel Cheesecake

Chinese Barbecue Specialist 烧腊第一家 @Padungan, Kuching

Address: 50, Jalan Padungan, 93100 Kuching, Sarawak.
Business Hours: Monday - Sunday 6:30am - 8:30pm

Monday is my day I have to run errands outside. I am going to Jakarta on 17th Feb, so dropped by Tun Jugah Money Changer to exchange some Rupiah. After done it, time was about 2:15pm I was feeling quite hungry. I suggested to have lunch at Chinese Barbecue Specialist, bro agreed. It's just a short walking distance from Tun Jugah.

The menu is hanging on the wall. They have roasted chicken, roasted pork, roasted duck, char siu, pork ribs, and sausage. Also got a few types of stewed soups.

Other than BBQ menus, you can order dishes as shown below:

We ordered roasted pork, roasted chicken and roasted duck. Normally a bowl of soup will be served together. There are two types of dipping sauce, I'm not too sure what us the dark sauce made of. It tastes a bit sour and sweet, prune? Anyway, it is the best match with the roasted duck. The chilli sauce is not spicy but it pairs well with roasted pork and chicken.

The plate of roasted pork, roasted chicken and roasted duck. I like the roasted pork and roasted duck the most. The duck meat is not hard to chew and still juicy. Roasted pork, everyone would expect to have the crispy top layer and I assure you that this one won't let you down.

I noticed there are a few customers having the kolo mee. I doubt the kolo mee should be quite good? Well, will find out next time. Here's the map to Chinese BBQ Specialist:

Laksa House 我来也茶室 @Parkcity Commercial Square, Bintulu

Address: 75, Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi, Parkcity Commercial Square, 97000 Bintulu, Sarawak.
Business hours: Tuesday - Sunday 7am - 1pm (might sold out earlier)

In Bintulu, there are two types of food has distinctive taste. One is the beef noodles and another one is the laksa. I never had the beef noodles and laksa in Kuching that taste similar like those in Bintulu. There are three places in Bintulu served the best laksa, and Laksa House is one of them. Laksa House has been awarded a few times as the best cleanest coffee shop in Bintulu. And there were beauty pageant contestants ever visited here too.

Laksa is prepared at the entrance. Other than laksa, they also have kolo mee. I never try their kolo mee so I can't give any comment. Majority of the customers come here for laksa.

This is the big bowl of laksa. Bigger shrimps and bigger portion. The ratio of the coconut milk and laksa paste is well balanced. The taste of coconut milk is neither too strong or light.

They produced their own belacan sauce, it is good match with the cooked shrimps. The beehoon (rice vermicelli) they used is also thinner compared to the laksa in Kuching. I can't remember how much is the big bowl of laksa cost, RM7.50?
