In Bintulu, there are two types of food has distinctive taste. One is the beef noodles and another one is the laksa. I never had the beef noodles and laksa in Kuching that taste similar like those in Bintulu. There are three places in Bintulu served the best laksa, and Laksa House is one of them. Laksa House has been awarded a few times as the best cleanest coffee shop in Bintulu. And there were beauty pageant contestants ever visited here too.
Laksa is prepared at the entrance. Other than laksa, they also have kolo mee. I never try their kolo mee so I can't give any comment. Majority of the customers come here for laksa.
This is the big bowl of laksa. Bigger shrimps and bigger portion. The ratio of the coconut milk and laksa paste is well balanced. The taste of coconut milk is neither too strong or light.
They produced their own belacan sauce, it is good match with the cooked shrimps. The beehoon (rice vermicelli) they used is also thinner compared to the laksa in Kuching. I can't remember how much is the big bowl of laksa cost, RM7.50?
