Location: Lot L3-023, Vivacity Megamall, Q112B, 93300 Kuching, Sarawak.
Business hours: Monday - Sunday 10:00am - 10:00pm
Hi, missing for sometime. Didn't have chance to have food adventure lately, too busy with business and personal stuff. Last week managed to do shopping at Vivacity with family. My bro suggested to have early diner at GO Noodle House. I googled GO Noodle house, found out it's originated from KL, its first outlet is at Jaya One. It has number of outlets in Malaysia, even expanded to Melbourne and Singapore. I recalled I've seen it at Times Square Bukit Bintang (right opposite Subway) while I was savouring my breakfast at Subway.
Their exquisite menu:
I have their Special Dark Sauce Pan Mee + Onsen Egg (RM11.50, onsen egg price is not included). I chose the thick noodle type. I didn't put high expectation on its taste at first, nevertheless it surprised me. Especially the texture of the noodle has truly exceeded my expectation. It's worth to give it a try.
They have their signature dishes, you can opt which soup base you desire: Superior Soup or Homemade Spicy Soup. Then you can choose the noodle types, either Mi Xian or Bee Hoon. And you can add on other ingredients.
This is Bursting Meatball Mi Xian with Superior Soup (RM13.90).
My mum had their Homemade Fish Paste Bee Hoon with Superior Soup (RM14.80).
My bro had Pork Belly Slice Mi Xian with Superior Soup (RM15.20).
Total bill we paid RM70++, including two bottles of drinks (RM4.90/bottle). They do charge 10% service charge + 6% service tax.

Sushi Jiro @Vivacity Megamall, Kuching
Address: Lot L3-027 & Lot L3-028, Level 3, Vivacity Megamall, Q112B, 93350 Kuching, Sarawak
Visited Sushi Jiro at Vivacity Megamall in August. I was thinking if I should blog it since it's not really worth to waste my time and effort to write this entry. I have not update my blog for the entire month of October. Occupied with new house settlement and I rarely dine at new restaurant.
Get back to the topic. Sushi Jiro has a good marketing strategy, unless otherwise stated, most of its menu is priced at RM2.99 per plate. Service charge and 6% service tax are not included. The variety of the food was good, taste wise.. acceptable. It's budget meal, so what you pay is what you get.
I used to boycott Sushi King because I had the chicken katsu don with just three skinny chicken stripes and deep-fried it with generous batter to make it looks huge on the bowl. I also have the same impression on Sushi Jiro. But RM2.99 per plate, you can't really complain about the quality.
I had this spicy tori don, RM11.90. The actual product is different from the picture on the menu.
Total billed RM79.35.
After tried Sushi Jiro, I did visit Sushi King on and off. A a comparison, I think the material used by Sushi King's is fresher. However, Sushi Jiro's price is cheaper though.

HK Boy Cart Noodle 香港仔車仔麵茶餐廳 @GalaCity, Kuching
Address: Ground Floor, Sublot 14, Galacity Prime, Lot 424, Block 16, Jalan Tun Jugah, 93250 Kuching, Sarawak.
Business hours: Monday - Sunday 9:00am - 3:00pm & 5:00pm - 10:00pm
This restaurant is popular these days in Kuching. Need to take number in order to get a seat. We visited there on a raining evening. Managed to get a table that fit 5 of us with a baby.
The business hours are shown as below. They open daily for the time being. Take note of their break time and last order time.
They decorated the wall with humorous advertisement posts.
The order chits.
Chrysanthemum Tea 菊花茶 (RM3.00) & Iced Milktea 冰鎮奶茶 (RM4.90)
Noodle with 2 Toppings 2 餸車仔麵 (Doggie Noodle, Beef Tendon Sauce, Luncheon Meat & Bursting Meat Ball)
Noodle with 2 Toppings 2 餸車仔麵 (Doggie Noodle, Tomato Broth Soup, Luncheon Meat & Lemongrass Pork Chop)
Swiss Chicken Wings 瑞士雞翼 (RM6.90).
Swiss Chicken Chop Rice with Fried Egg on Top 慢煮無骨瑞士雞脾煎蛋飯 (RM14.90)
Luncheon Meat & Fried Egg with Instant Noodle 出前一丁 (RM8.90). Surprisingly they said this taste was good.
Imitation Fin Soup 招牌碗仔翅 (RM5.90)
My bro had the Swiss Chicken Chop Rice, he highly-recommended it. I had the noodle with tomato broth soup. The soup was rather too rich and thick, I didn't like it that much. The doggie noodle 狗仔粉 is as thick as udon noodle.
This place is good for casual dining. You'll be spoilt for choice here. Good thing is that their price is within acceptable range, but they do charge 10% service charge. Total bill for 5 pax:

ShopRite Specialty Store @Jalan Song, Kuching
Address: No. 7, Tabuan Heights Commercial Centre, Jalan Song, Tabuan Heights, 93350 Kuching, Sarawak
Business hours: Monday - Sunday 11:00am - 9:00pm
This store is a grocer shop selling imported goods from Philippines. Don't know when, they started serving food as well. Looking at their menu at the entrance, they serve variety of food from local cuisine to Western. Price range is acceptable as well.
And, the best part is that they have the glass bottle of soda drinks. It's so nostalgic. I always deem that Coca-Cola in glass bottle has better taste than in PVC bottle. Contains less gas and tastes smoother.
I ordered this grilled pork belly with rice. If not mistaken, it's RM13 something. It was served with a bowl of soup as well. The soup was flavourful, really nice taste.
I like its texture of pork belly as well, juicy and chewy. It goes well with white rice. The mixed vegetables also stir-fried with butter so it tastes fragrant.
They have the famous Filipino deep-fried pork knuckle as well. If you are interested to order, you may check out their FB page: https://www.facebook.com/shoprite.specialty.grocer/

Ayiko / Ayuke Fish Chef 阿魚哥 @Jalan Song, Kuching
Address: 43, Jalan Song, Tabuan Heights Commercial Centre, 93350 Kuching, Sarawak
Business hours: Tuesday - Sunday 7:30am - 1:00pm, closed on Monday
Ayuke Fish Chef is my recent favourite, purely like its tomato flavourful soup with assorted ingredients made of fish. I used to divert my fond to another vendor who sells the same dish because Ayuke dropped its quality on my few visits. After a long time, I came back again because my mum would like to go. In fact, we found Ayuke's pricing is more acceptable as compared to other. As for its portion and more ingredients provided.
Me and my mum's favourite is Tomato Fish Mix Soup Set, RM10.60 for small bowl. Highly recommended. Looking at its Tom Yam Prawn Bee Hon and Prawn Bee Hon with wine, I'm interested to try it next time.
My mum's order. She asked for Teochew Fish Mix Soup set, separate the bee hon and soup. You can make request for noodles and kueh tiaw too.
This is my order. Mouth watering. They made the ingredients all by themselves. I love every piece of it. Fish cake, fried fish skin, taufu fish, wanton fish, and giant fish ball. Fresh and bouncy.
Dip the ingredients with their piquant chilli sauce, though not spicy but it's really appetizing.
Next week I shall go again with mum to try out its prawn menu. If it's equally good, I'll update this post entry later.
