Restoran Hua Mui serves Hainanese food in JB, which I found it on google results, been blogged about by many Malaysian food bloggers. After I bought the banana cake, decided to try out its Hainanese chicken chop (despite I was still feeling full). And not only chicken chop, I also ordered their kaya toast. Okay, I have to admit I'm quite "ambitious" at times and I have to finish all by myself. Normally I dine alone, so if you noticed a lady having her meal alone, don't have to pity her (give her a "oh so kolian" look) because we enjoy to eat alone sometimes. Aputhen, do we have to starve ourselves to death if we don't have a company to eat? Lol
Weekday late noon, at 3 something, still full house. Attractive food menu on the wall.
Upstairs should have more seat available.
Their menu:
My coffee, very thick and rich indeed. This cup is so antique.. very Hainanese style.
My kaya toast. Tastes ok to me, I think Yeow Kee in Kuching has better taste than this. Yeow Kee also uses charcoal.
My Hainanese chicken chop is finally served. Can't resist the fried chicken chop. Yum yum. Tastes different from Yut Kee in KL. But I would prefer this crispy version of chicken chop. Less gravy but sinful.
I finished all the food I ordered without any leftover. Left the shop with deep guilt. Obviously exceeded the daily quota of calories but would not have regret to have it. Too bad I couldn't try its fried noodles, it looks very appetizing too. Saw the customer next table having it, mouth watering. Nevermind... will visit Restoran Hua Mui again in the future.
