Ipoh Lou Wong Restoran Tauge Ayam 怡保老黄芽菜鸡沙河粉

Address: 49 Jalan Yau Tet Shin, Ipoh, Perak

Early this month, I went to Ipoh with my buddy. Done some "study" before visiting, and many have recommended this bean sprouts chicken like it's a symbolic food in Ipoh.

We rented a car so that it would be more easier for us to mobilise around. It proved that we made the right decision as we hardly spotted any taxi on the road. Plus the car rental fee was very reasonable, RM90 per day for a Perodua Viva. So text me if you need the car rental company contact in Ipoh. It costs additional RM20 to pick you up from ETS Station and on return you can get them to send you back to ETS Station too.

Ok. Back to Lou Wong Restoran Tauge Ayam, we used Wave GPS App to find the location. Reached there around 2.30pm. The next door is also selling bean sprouts chicken but it was closed.

Honestly, we went there with high expectation. But due to personal liking, we don't like the firm chicken meat. And the tauge, we didn't find it special in taste. Just that the tauge shapes look fat and short.

We also ordered Lou Wong’s meat and fish balls. I like their fish balls, very bouncy. No comment on the meat balls as I don't fancy it.

We ordered rice and Kueh Tiaw soup. The soup has sweet taste. We didn't manage to finish it as we both preferred the rice over Kueh Tiaw.

Overall, the taste was alright to me. No big surprise.
